Acer has unveiled two economical gaming laptops in the Nitro 5 series

Acer has unveiled two economical Nitro 5 gaming laptops using the latest unannounced 11th generation Intel processor codenamed Tiger Lake H35 and GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.

The cheaper version of the Nitro 5 economical laptop with model number AN515-56-57YH uses a 15.6-inch IPS ComfyView display with FHD resolution. This laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i5-11300H processor, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and 512 GB of PCIe NVMe SSD memory capacity.

The more powerful version of the Nitro 5 gaming economy laptop with model number AN515-56-72KT uses a 15.6-inch 144Hz FHD IPS display. This laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i7-11370H processor, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and 512 GB of memory capacity.

The new Intel processor, codenamed Tiger Lake H35, which is built into both new laptop versions, is expected to outperform the company’s Tiger Lake U processors, which were introduced in September.

Both new Acer laptops are equipped with a 57 watt-hour battery, 2 HD webcams and 2 microphones. Both devices also support WiFi 6 plus BT 5.

Acer’s new gaming laptops feature an AZERTY backlit keyboard and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics with 4GB of GDDR6 memory.

Although Nvidia has repeatedly said that beam tracking is part of the future of gaming; But the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU lacks beam tracking. The GTX 1650 is Turing-based graphics as well as the slowest GeForce GTX card introduced in the last two years.

Both of Acer’s new laptops could be a good option for users looking for an affordable gaming system. However, Acer plans to introduce other laptops of the same series during CES 2021, which will probably have higher processing power.
